How To Use A SeaWorld EZ Ticket

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Here at Orlando Attraction Tickets we offer real, gate ready tickets for the major parks. You don’t have to head to guest services and exchange a voucher for your tickets, you head straight to the turnstiles, scan your tickets and in your go.

You can see what your tickets will look like here – What my Orlando Attraction Tickets look like?

Each park offers different ticket styles, Disney for example offer a plastic RDIF ticket which is the size of a credit card, Universal offer a similar sized ticket which is made out of cardboard if you lose either of these tickets its pretty much hard luck and you’ll have to purchase your tickets again. SeaWorld on the other hand have been busy building an system they call EZ tickets, which allows them to create a .PDF file which contain barcodes that can be emailed and printed off by the customer and used directly at the turnstile! Its the safest way to receive tickets as if they are lost you can just print off another copy.

Here’s how to use our SeaWorld tickets.

1) Print off your SeaWorld Tickets if we haven’t done this for you already.

SeaWorld EZTicket

Your tickets will look like the image above, each ticket holder will have their own ticket with their name printed upon it.

2) When you get to the parks head straight to the turnstile and scan your ticket.

seaworld eticket

3) Hey presto, you’re in the parks.

The tickets can be folded and stored in the same way you would any other ticket type but with the added bonus that if you lose it you can easily replace it. I believe that we’ll see more companies copying this technology in the future with the ultimate goal of tickets being scanned from your mobile phone.

Busch Gardens Tampa Confirms Live Snake Exhbit For Cobra’s Curse Queue

Hey Thrill Seekers,

This summer, guests will come face to fang from the moment they enter Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay’s newest attraction, Cobra’s Curse™.  Yesterday, the park debuted plans for its thrill ride queue line, featuring several of the world’s most notorious snake species that naturally fuel guests’ adrenaline.

Jeff Andrews, Vice President Zoological Operations at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay said;

The snake exhibit at Cobra’s Curse will allow us to combine the best of what Busch Gardens has to offer – animals and thrill rides. This exhibit will give our guests an unforgettable experience while opening up discussion around conservation and education by highlighting the species and their important role in the wild, which is our top priority.

Guests will be just inches away from the 400-cubic-foot snake exhibit which will include Jameson’s mambas, Angolan pythons and rhinoceros and gaboon vipers. The design of the multi-level exhibit not only reflects the theme of the ride, but also features several animal husbandry and enrichment components designed with the snakes’ welfare in mind, including naturalistic design elements, controlled heat sources and humidity control.

This spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, featuring a vertical lift and taking riders on a whirlwind adventure of exciting explorations. Located in the Egypt area of the park, explorers will come face-to-face with an 80-foot snake icon, trek over the park’s Serengeti Plain® and discover the mysteries of an Egyptian archaeological excavation.

Cobra’s Curse Update

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Busch Gardens Tampa have provided us with another update on their soon to be unveiled spinning coaster Cobra’s Curse.

On site, the block walls for the maintenance building are complete and roof trusses have been installed. The ride track in the station and maintenance have been set as well. Last week, Busch Gardens temporarily closed down the Egyptian area of the park so they could install underground utilities and pour new pathways.

Busch Gardens also told us that fan favourite Montu will get some tender love and care while this area is closed. Once its re-opened we are expecting a very different looking area.

That winding s-curve motion is what propels snakes forward. Those same curves of the ride track will cause the ride vehicles to spin wildly through the ride course. The more ride track they set, the more the winding ride layout takes shape. You can see in these photos how the ride snakes itself through trenches and buildings

Busch Gardens told us that the focus for next month will be the assembly of the vertical lift and stair tower. This vertical lift is a one-of-a-kind design that acts much like an outdoor elevator lifting guests up 70 feet to begin ride journey.

I love watching attractions come together and we’ll continue to update you on their progress during the upcoming months.

Kind regards,

Check Out These New Images Of Busch Gardens Cobra’s Curse

Hey Thrill Seekers,

At least once every hour I look outside my office window and think… I wish I was in Florida… Well today I doubly wish I was there as IAAPA kicked off just a couple of hours ago.

IAAPA is the largest international trade association for amusement parks, attractions, and other leisure and family entertainment facilities. Basically its where all the cool attractions, coasters and rides get displayed to the industry. It’s pretty much my equivalent of a “kid in a candy shop”.

The real interest for us was an update on Cobra’s Curse, the spinning family coaster set to open at Busch Gardens Tampa next year. The company who are building the coaster, Mack Rides, took the opportunity to reveal a great looking model of the coaster.

11248945_10153763693248493_6686609396639584141_n 12246905_10153763701733493_6281169135139019305_n (1) 12274704_10153763701718493_5121983175982945288_n (1) 12243581_10153763701988493_7045880078829648376_n 12250036_10153763701938493_7229605201491188393_n

What this model shows us

  • Did you notice the “outward-banked turn” that puts riders perilously close to the jaws of the monstrous, 80-foot-tall statue of the snake king Venymyss?
  • Wondering what that tower is? Each train is lifted vertically, to a height of 70 feet!
  • During the three-and-a-half-minute ride, the coaster trains speed along at 40 mph, spinning backward, forward and then freely
  • Each train spins randomly, with frequency and direction determined by the rider weight distribution.

I can’t wait to be able to ride Cobra’s Curse, 2016 looks like its going to be a great year to head to Florida.

What Can We Expect From The Parks In 2016 & 2017

Hey Thrill Seekers,

The beauty of Florida theme parks is the ever changing landscape. The competitiveness between the major parks means they’re always trying to oneup each other, which is great for us visitors.

In today’s post I thought I’d take a quick look at the construction going on at each park and what we can expect in the future.

Disney are on a building spree, from a few years of concentrating on technology they’ve suddenly remembered that content is king.

At Animal Kingdom they’re busy building their much hyped Avatar Land based on James Cameron’s 2003 films about large blue aliens. Construction began on January 10, 2014, with the land expected to open in early 2017.

At Hollywood Studios Disney are perhaps building something that will see it continue its dominance over Orlando footfall. Star Wars Land for want of a better title is set to takeover at Studios. The expansion will include “a Dagobah centerpiece” where Echo Lake and Gertie the Dinosaur currently sit. Star Tours will remain, and other attractions will be added, although no details have leaked yet on those. The Jedi Training Academy will be relocating indoors to an existing building. There has also been no confirmation yet on timescale.

On top of Star Wars we’re looking at the addition of more Pixar related attractions and rumour has it something to do with Indiana Jones.

SeaWorld Orlando

Set for a 2016 launch SeaWorld are building a Hyper Coaster called MAKO. Here’s how SeaWorld bill it;

Sink your teeth into SeaWorld’s unrivaled new coaster, Mako™. Arriving summer 2016, this 200-foot hypercoaster soars to the top of the food chain as Orlando’s tallest, longest and fastest coaster. Scream through the deep dives with unmatched speed and predator power. Fly through the air with the grace and agility of the ocean’s apex predator.

I’m delighted to see a park investing in a good old (not really old) fashioned coaster… For me it’s what I go to theme parks for!

Busch Gardens Tampa

Busch Gardens is packed full of awesome thrill rides from Falcon’s Fury to SheiKra if you want you adrenaline pumping it’s easily the park for you. So its a nice change of pace to see Busch Gardens looking at something that’s perhaps aimed more at the family experience. Set to debut in 2016 here’s what Busch Gardens say about it;

This isn’t your ordinary roller coaster. This one-of-a-kind family Spin Coaster takes riders on a whirlwind of family fun and an adventure of exciting explorations. After ascending on a vertical lift, just like an elevator, riders will come face-to-face with an 80-foot snake icon and trek over the park’s Serengeti Plain.

This family-friendly ride puts guests in the middle of a mysterious Egyptian archeological excavation that takes them on the ride of their life.

Universal Orlando

Well we know that Skull Island: Reign of Kong is set to open in 2016 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure touted as being a totally unique attraction we’re pretty sure this is going to be  a big hit. We’re expecting Universal to ramp up its marketing soon on this attraction which should helps us identify exactly what kind of ride this is. At the moment it looks to me on the same sort of lines as Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, a 3D coaster type thing.

For Universal though the construction doesn’t stop there. Not happy with just adding an attraction, Universal are as we speak building a whole new water park! Volcano Bay located just behind The Cabana Bay Hotel is set to open in 2017 and will be Universal’s first ever water park built from scratch. Although it will be replacing the very popular Wet N’ Wild park we’re hoping for great things from Universal as they come off the back of huge hits including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

volcano bay

I for one cannot wait. 2016 & 2017 seem like they’re going to be great years to visit Florida and as always we’ve got a ticket deal to help you get as much out of the experience as possible.
