Orlando SkyPlex Will Also Have A Surf Park!

Hey Thrill Seekers,

You know when you’re building a complex that includes the World’s tallest Roller Coaster SkyScraper (500 feet tall) and which will also include the World’s Tallest Drop Ride, SkyFall, it’s never really enough is it…

This week Wallack Holdings, the developers behind the entertainment complex announced it would also be including a Surf Park! The complex that will be located on the corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Road already boasts plans for (on top of the above) a zip line, a hotel, retail space and Perkins Restaurant!

The surf area would have three pools, which would be situated on top of the 10 story parking centre. Surfers will face the the coasters main tower while riding in a continuous wave pool.

Surfing will be available to the public everyday and can range from as young as 19 months old (boogie board). The Surf Park will be large with estimates gauging the size to be between 1.5 to 2 acres. The theming will unsurprisingly be based on the beach and will include a bar.

Experts estimate that the SkyScraper coaster will be the first attraction to be built and the majority should be finished in 2017.

I for one, cannot wait to see how this pans out. Tallest Coaster, Tallest Drop Ride, Zip Line and a Surf Park… I mean, what’s not to like?

Smiles included…

Jamie
