As we reported yesterday the Rip Ride Rockit is now back open at Universal Orlando, so we thought we’d take the opportunity to recap this great ride.
Riders of the Rip Ride Rockit have access to a touchpad mounted on the lap bar, which allows you to select your own music. Riders can choose their favorite genre – Classic Rock/Metal, Rap/Hip-Hop, Club/Electronica, Pop/Disco or Country – and then pick a song. Each seat is outfitted with individual stereo speakers so guests can rock out to 90 decibels of music – and yet never hear the songs playing for other riders. Your song pick will be the soundtrack to your ride and to a music video you can purchase that uses on- and off-board cameras to mix music, moves and special effects.

Space Mountain can be found at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland and is an indoor out of space roller coaster and features 2 spaceship shaped vehicles consisting of 3 seats that launch from 2 different tracks.
The left side track is called the Alpha; the right side track is called the Omega. Both tracks are nearly identical and mirror each other in twists and drops.
The rockets that race through space achieve a maximum speed of 28 miles per hour.
Height to ride – 44″
Vehicle Capacity – 3
Top Speed – 28 mph
Ride Duration – 2.50
Attraction Tickets Review – I love theme park rides in the dark! 28 mph doesn’t sound much but in the dark it feels more like 78 mph!!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad can be found as Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Frontierland its an indoor/outdoor mine train roller coaster.
Ride this rollicking runaway train that rushes through the gold-mining, Old West town of Tumbleweed in Frontierland. Beware when the rails go clackety-clack because your car’s about to run over treacherous terrain!
Height to ride – 40″ (102cm)
Vehicle capacity – 45
Ride duration – 3:18
Attraction Tickets review – Not really a ride for me I like my Thrill ride’s but my 6 year old loved it.
The Hulk ride at Island’s of Adventure universal studios transports you from sunny Orlando to the labroatory of Dr Bruce Banner. It is a front facing leg dangling ride of pure pace and power. You accelerate from zero to 40 mph in two seconds flat, with the force equal to that of a jet taking off an aircraft carrier. The world turns upside down as you experience a weightless “zero g” roll.
Height to ride – 56″
Top Speed – 67mph
Height reached – 150ft
Attraction Tickets Review – This was my favourite ride at Island’s of Adventure, the 0 to 40 mph start in the darkly lit tunnel was exhilarating and bursting out in to the bright sunshine gave your senses a bit of a shake before the coaster shakes your body. Highly recommended for the adrenaline junky. Rode it 5 times and it wasn’t enough.
