More Hogwarts Express Details To Be Announced Friday

Afternoon Thrill Seekers,

2014 has always been about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley, whenever we post about Universal’s latest addition we know it will generate hits to the blog.

So we were delighted to receive by Owl… (I say Owl, it was actually an email) an invitation to a media event being held by Universal expected to give us more details about the Hogwarts Express.

The event is a bit of a secret, so I can’t really tell you to much about it at the moment but what I can guarantee is that on Friday at 17:00 we’ll be able to provide you with some cracking insight in the Hogwarts Express and dare we wish it… an opening date?

Smiles included…

New Pictures Released Of Universal’s Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Expansion

Afternoon Thrill Seekers,

We last updated you on the expansion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the end of July. The pictures we received then showed how Diagon Alley has already been erected and how massive it looks against the Orlando skyline.

Today we’ve been sent some additional images that we thought you’d like to see…

The images show the  current construction of Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, including the buildings that will make up London, you’ll note from previous images that windows seem to have been added to the building that most are speculating will be Number 12 Grimmauld Place.

The photo above showing the yellow/green covering is the exterior of King’s Cross Station where Harry and the gang catch the train to Hogwarts…

Speaking of the Hogwarts Express we also got sent images an image of an aerial shot of Universal’s backlot. The image appears to show the storing of several Hogwart Expresses, have a look, what do you think?

From what we’ve heard and it makes sense, Universal will run 2 train simultaneously working in opposite directions leading to and from Hogsmeade Station at Islands of Adventure and Platform 9 3/4 in Universal Studios Florida.

We are still quietly confident that our prediction of a June 2014 opening is possible however Universal still have not announced anything concrete.

Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Pictures

Afternoon Thrill Seekers,

The expansion that must not be named…yet, looks like its in full swing. Although Universal have yet to announce the Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion officially, the internet has been awash with rumour and conjecture.

Today thanks to screamscapes anonymous source I’m able to share with you the latest imagery of what appears to be the track for the Hogwarts Express *squeal*.

The Hogwarts Express attraction is said to connect Islands of Adventure with Universal Studios, where the London section of the Wizarding World will be located.

hogwarts train trackAs Universal aren’t confirming anything at the moment (and why would they with Transformers so close to launch) we can only speculate what the Hogwarts attraction might entail.

Here at Orlando Attraction Tickets we can’t imagine that Universal will just build a bog standard train that takes you from A to B, the idea of peering out of a window looking at the backlot of Universal kind of kills the mythos, could the attraction incorporate a 3D experience within the train? Original cast members did recently shoot additional scenes specifically for the Wizarding World could they have been filming a Hogwarts Express scene?

This story will run and run until we get something concrete from Universal but until then imagining the end product is so much fun!

regards,

Jamie

NEW Harry Potter Film In The Works!!!

Good evening Thrill Seekers,

OMG!!! Mass hysteria!!!  A new Harry Potter film is in the works!!! *scream and shriek*

Rumor has it that a mini movie has been commissioned for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. The Universal Studio’s owned theme park has been doing great business since its launch in 2010 and the Daily Mail reports that the 9th Potter movie will only be available at Universals Islands of Adventure, Orlando, Florida.

Actors including Helena Bonham Carter who played Belatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter movies (who is said to be reprising her role) have already shot scenes at the Warner Brothers owned studios  in Hertfordshire.

I can’t seem to find any information regarding the plot but a “source” told The Sun newspaper

The cast have really enjoyed getting back together – they are so tight-knit. The shooting schedule is nowhere near as long as the films, so though filming has been intense, the stars have enjoyed being able to pop in and out.

I emailed Universal Orlando for a quote but at present haven’t heard back… no news is good news though?

I’ll keep you posted if I hear anymore.

Regards,

Jamie

Wizarding World of Harry Potter To Go Worldwide?

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been nothing short of a phenomenal success for Universal Orlando, not only has it helped close the gap on Disney but has helped revitalised the Theme Park industry with reports of Disney speaking to James Cameron regardin a possible Avatar tie up.

So it comes as no surprise that Universal are considering taking Potter global, and copying the Harry Potter Theme Park in their other parks.

Ron Meyer, Head of NBC’s Universal movie and theme park unit admitted other parks would indeed get the Harry Potter treatment but would not be drawn in to specifics.

For me the obvious choices are Universal Hollywood and Universal Japan.

You can purchase tickets for the Wizarding World of Harry Potterin Orlando by visiting www.orlandoattractiontickets.co.uk, tickets offering entry include Universal 2-Park Bonus Tickets, Universal 3-Park Bonus Ticket, Flex Ticket and Flex Ticket Plus.
