What Your Next Generation Harry Potter Wand Might Do

Afternoon Thrill Seekers,

When Universal finally confirmed that they were indeed building anwizarding wand expansion to the hugely successful Wizarding World of Harry Potter we got wind of some interesting additional features that our sources tell us Universal are seriously working on. We were asked to hold back posting about it, which we have done, but reading articles today I can see that a few sites have gone with the story, so I think our audience deserves some insight.

From what we hear Universal are working on a next generation version of their Wizarding Wands. Although we’ve been told nothing concrete, if we piece together some of the clues we can make some intelligent guesses.

Universal want the new expansion (Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley)  to be built on a firm basis of interactivity. The latest buzzword is “personalisation” aimed at building unique experiences for each visitor. Universal have seen the success of the queuing experience for their Forbidden Journey Ride and the additional buzz it generated, the idea of adding this type of experience on a grander scale is definitely on the cards.

We have been told that Universal are working on new technology that will add a new interactive element across the land, this technology will also be exported to the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter and will include a link up with the new generation wands!!!

What kind of interactivity can we expect? Well we don’t know that for sure, but I’m thinking “Wingardium Leviosa” (make things float), “Alohmora” (light things up),” Aparecium” (makes invisible ink appear) and “Engorgio” (makes things grow)…. the possibilities are endless.

Are you ready for interactive wands? I know I am…

regards,

Jamie
