Disney Will Call tickets and Magic Bands

Hey Thrill Seekers!

I just wanted to write you all a little guide about Disney Will Call tickets, how they work and how to link them to Magic Bands.

What is a Will Call ticket?

A Disney Will Call ticket will be issued as a certified Disney World Will Call Confirmation sheet. This will look like an e-ticket, but the confirmation number is assigned only to you.
The number is what you will need to use to link to My Disney Experience  before you get to Orlando. Remember you can start booking fast passes 30 days in advance (60 days if you’re staying on Disney property)
Here’s what a will call ticket will look like:

When you then arrive at a Disney park you will need to go to guest relations at a Disney park or Disney Springs or the ticket gate at the entrances. You’ll just need to show the Will Call confirmation from your phone or hand over the print out and collect your hard tickets – don’t worry your fast passes will be on these too!

My Will Call came with Magic Bands – what does this mean?

So, having Magic Bands will cut out the need to go to Guest Relations (unless you need/want ticket admission cards, simply proceed to the ticket gate at the entrance of any of the theme parks or Guest Relations at Disney Springs to pick up your admission cards.)

If you link your Will Call ticket to your Magic Bands, you’ll be able to head straight into the parks. here’s how to do this:

  1. Create or sign into your Disney account.
  2. Link your MagicBand to your Disney account.

When you arrive at the parks, just have ID and a copy of your Will Call Confirmation Number handy and a Cast Member will let you in right away.

If you experience trouble linking the Will-Call voucher to the Disney system via the smartphone App, we advise attempting the desktop version – disneyworld.com. Should the problem persist, Disney have a dedicated technical helpline and can link over the phone – 0800 16 90 749.

*please note; Disney Ultimate Tickets/ E-Tickets: In the event that OAT have to supply a Will-Call voucher due to product availability/restrictions during Covid-19 period, OAT will supply customers with a Magic Band2 per person – please note that in the event that you subsequently have to cancel your order you will need to return the Magic Band2/s along with your tickets. The Magic Band2 must not be opened and must be unused in its original undamaged packaging. In the event that Magic Band2’s is not returned or returned opened or damaged a charge of £19 per band will apply. Please note that Magic Band2’s cannot be replaced in the event of loss or damage.

Disney announce new Pavilion and more for Epcot

Hey Thrill Seekers,

New Pavilion

As part of their big multi-year transformation of Epcot Disney have announced that there are now plans in place for a play pavilion that will ‘be unlike anything you’ve ever seen at the park’ The new pavilion will be devoted to playful fun and will feature an innovative city that ‘will come to life’ under the dome of this un-named pavilion which was previously known as ‘Wonders of Life’ Disney have said:

‘The pavilion’s city will be bursting with interactive experiences, your favorite Disney characters, hands-on activities and engaging entertainment when it opens just in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!’

“This innovative, new pavilion is beyond anything we’ve ever created and is completely unique to Epcot,” said Zach Riddley, portfolio executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “Built on the power of play, it introduces an immersive and interactive ‘city’ where you can explore, create, and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters. This is an experience worthy of our bold vision for Epcot – and another signature element of our transformation.”

New entrance

Not only can we look forward to a whole new pavilion, Disney have also announced that changes are going to be happening to the main entrance of Epcot. The plaza will welcome guests with new pathways, sweeping green spaces and a newly reimagined fountain. This new design will pay homage to the original park entrance with fresh takes on classic elements. Also as part of the new entry experience ‘Leave A Legacy’ photos will move in to a setting which will be just outside the park’s gateway.
Other redevelopment will also begin between Spaceship Earth and the World Showcase Promenade – more details on this transformation are going to be released at a later date too.

Experience Center

Disney have also announced a Discovery Center which will be coming to Epcot later this year. Guests will soon be able to look into the future at this new center which will be located in Odyssey Events Pavilion and will feature interactive exhibits which main aims are to help visualise park projects throughout the transformation.

These aren’t the only new things that have been announced for Epcot. Here are some of the other new experiences / attractions coming to Epcot.

  • Guardians of the Galaxy Roller Coaster
  • Space themed table service restaurant
  • Epcot Forever – limited nighttime show over the lagoon

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy due to open early 2019!

Hey Thrill Seekers,

We all know next year is going to be HUGE for Hollywood Studios, especially with the opening of Galaxy’s Edge but lets not forget about all of the awesome other attractions due to open at HS next year too and today in particular, Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy!

***UPDATE***

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is opening on the 31st March 2019!

Disney have recently released some additional information to add to what we already know about this attraction.

The show will be performed daily in the Sunset Showcase Theatre and there will be a giant wraparound screen that is said to be nearly 2 stories tall and more than 200 feet from end to end!

This show is going to be a sequel to Cars 3 so will basically take place after the events that happened in the film and we will see McQueen looking back on some career highlights and demonstrates what he’s learned over the years plus he will test a new racing simulator. Guests will then take on the role of rookie racer and come face to face with Lighting McQueen as they cruise into the theatre to see him ‘live’ on stage to join his journey where something is bound to go wrong! Other favourite characters from Radiator Springs such as Cruz Ramierz and Tow Mater will feature in Lighting McQueens Racing Academy as Disney are working closely with Pixar to bring this to life and have it as close to the films as possible.

Even though a lot of the action will be carried out on the giant screens you will also be able to see a live Lighting McQueen jump into a giant racing simulator like what was used in the training in Cars 3 which is said to be a huge prop with moving parts and its own screen, again, just like the film!

It’s been a while since there was a Cars meet and greet at Hollywood studios and this attraction will open the door to bring them back. It looks as though there will be a post show meet and greet area to meet Cruz Ramirez.

We still don’t have an exact opening date for this show however Disney have confirmed that it will open ‘early in 2019’ which isn’t far away at all!

Who’s excited?
