Here’s Our Guide To Becoming A Thrill Seeker
Hey Thrill Seekers,
I love roller coasters, I could literally (and I have) ride them all day but for some Orlando leaves their belly with an odd butterfly feeling. Coasters and being a thrill seeker isn’t for everyone, the world would be a dull place if we were all the same. Take my wife for instance, she’s as brave as a lion in her day to day life but pop her infront of SheiKra and her legs turn to jelly. Wouldn’t it be great if you could go on some kind of coaster training course?
Today’s post is for all those people who don’t count themselves as a thrill seeker but still want to sample some roller coasters and thrills that t Florida has to offer. It’s basically Thrill Seeker lite 🙂
Disney World
Disney World is the perfect playground for those of us trying to get our coaster feet, the newly launched Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster is the perfect example of a diet coke style coaster. It’s aimed at families.
Universal Orlando
So you’re a fan of Harry Potter but you’re not a fan of Roller Coasters, Universal kind of has you covered. Found in Hogsmeade, Flight of the Hippogrif is a family friendly coaster that will technically allow you to state to your friends that you rode a coaster in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Even celebs like riding the Hippogriff!
SeaWorld Orlando
A bit of a tricky one this for those who don’t like big rides, technically SeaWorld has 3 main rides of which 2 are coasters, Kraken & Manta. However these are pretty extreme rides for those who dislike having their stomachs thrown around their insides. However SeaWorld is really about rides, its about the spectacle.
Its unlikely anyone will ask you about the coasters you’ve ridden at SeaWorld they’re more likely to chat about SeaWorld’s World famous shows. So I think you’re safe to not ride anything here and spend the time learning about the marine life SeaWorld has to offer.
Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens Tampa is the unofficial Florida home of the big thrill ride, SheiKra, Montu, Falcons Fury and Kumba can all be found here and are all adrenaline, white knuckle rides in the true sense of the words.
One ride that may test you a little but will get you cool points is Cheetah Hunt, now this is easily the most extreme ride I’ve recommended in this post however the reason being is how smooth it is. There’s no jerking around or the feeling you’re being beaten up. Its still thrilling but in a much calmer way. As the name suggest Cheetah Hunt mimics a Cheetah hunting their prey; smooth, sleek and fast. You’ll love it.
So there we have it a the easy way to break yourself in to loving coasters… Once you’ve experienced these rides you’ll wonder what all the fuss was about. (not guaranteed)
Smiles included…
Jamie
