Its the last in the series of Teresa does Orlando.. for the final day she’s off to Kennedy Space Center and returning to Fun Spot to try and conquer her fears…
Lets see what happened;
I just want to take the chance to thank Teresa for al her vlogs I’m going to miss waking up to tales of her adventures.
Day 4 of Teresa’s vlog, yesterday she visited SeaWorld in the morning and then popped off to watch the Orlando Magic in a limo in the evening (like you do)
Now i’m definitely not a blubber but holiday reveal videos make me do that thing where your eyes get wet when you’re happy? Weird I know..
Holidays to Orlando, the theme park capital of the world, are nothing less than a huge deal and seeing your kids faces when you tell them that this year they’re lucky enough to be going to Orlando must be second to none. Recently, keeping the holiday a secret for as long as possible and then filming the reaction of your littleun’s when you tell them is becoming more and more popular and I love it (although it does make me pretty jealous 🙁 )
The creativity of some families is amazing so i’ve been scouring the internet to put together my top 5 Orlando holiday reveal videos. Personally, my favourite type of reveal videos are treasure hunt ones.
1.
As i’ve previously mentioned, my favourite reveal idea is to do a treasure hunt around the house and this one is Disney themed.. even better 😀
2.
This one is soooo cute and I love the idea of the t-shirts, how grateful the kids are is very sweet.
3.
‘BUT WE HAVEN’T PACKED!!!’
4.
The suitcase races at the beginning of this one made me laugh, also love the Universal props for a brill Universal reveal.
5.
The little girls reaction at the end of this one is just brilliant.
I couldn’t think of a better surprise to receive than being told that i’m going on holiday to Orlando (Gavin should have done a video of when I was told I would be going on the Super FAM trip this year 😉 )
If you’ve got any funny, adorable or emotional reveal videos or ideas send them in to us i’d love to see!!
It was day 3 for Abby yesterday and she got to complete a personal dream. Ever since she was a little girl she’s wanted to swim with a dolphin so her visit to Discovery Cove meant so much.
She also visited Busch Gardens Tampa… did she concur Falcons Fury?
Tune in tomorrow when Abby visits SeaWorld & Aquatica.
Today Abby visited Volcano Bay and Universal Islands of Adventure. She was also lucky enough to be invited back to Volcano Bay for a night time tour (and drink).
You can follow her adventure on our Instagram account. For now here’s the second of her Vlog’s.
Come back tomorrow to check out day 3…. Discovery Cove.
According to recent reports, one theme park in Orlando is planning to offer their visitors ‘In-Coaster’ dining options!
The Park has stated that more and more people that come to Orlando are not getting enough quality time at the parks due to the inconvenience of having to take a break to eat breakfast, lunch or a snack. They have stated that according to research carried out on one of their most popular roller coasters, visitors can save an additional 22 minutes per day by choosing to eat their meals during their ride on a roller coaster.
Some of the dishes already planned for the menu include the following;
Soup of the day
Rahmen Noodles
Curry and Rice
Nachos with Cheese
Fish and Chips
Burgers
Ice Cream
Custard
The park in question [currently choosing to remain anonymous for commercial reasons] say that although some people may find it difficult to eat a full meal while riding a coaster we hope in time that this will become part and parcel of visiting a theme park.
When asked what they planned to do for riders that exited the ride covered in food the park official stated “We already have a post dinner schedule for clean up, customer can pay an additional $20 to be hosed down after”
Although this does seem a radical idea and many are sceptical of its success, some have even speculated that their is a 1 in 3 chance of people ‘chundering’ during and after the ride, this aside, we are keen to see this food related freak show in operation.
Official opening is planned for 1st April 2018 – so we will be able to provide more information closer to the time. In the meantime if any of our readers have any idea which park this may happen in please leave a comment below.
Now you know me, I’m not one to say I told you so but…back in 2015 I totally told you!
Here’s the article I’m referring to scroll done to the bottom of the page and you’ll note my prediction in bold!
Yep its official Universal have filed documents with Orlando City confirming that they are looking to add 4000 rooms to the site formally known as Wet n’ Wild.
The Orlando Sentinel which makes a habit of breaking these types of stories has confirmed that within the filing Universal entered a master-plan framework for the area however Universal have revealed little else, no name, not theming. As reported widely a sketch was also provided with the filing which shows three parking structures and shows that Universal require a part of a street, Precision Drive, vacated.
Two things that immediately spring to mind upon looking at these plans, firstly are Universal actually building two hotels? Secondly, how will Universal get visitors from the new hotel(s) to the parks?
Serendipity means a “fortunate happenstance” and I think this perfectly sums up our discussion yesterday on our Facebook live chat, I can’t remember the last time we’d mentioned Skyplex before yesterdays chat and then coincidently we get some fresh news in.
The Skyplex developers have announced that on top of their already impressive plethora of attractions (Skyscraper, SkyFall & SkyLedge) they going to add another… SKY JUMP!
Sky Jump, will allow serious adrenaline junkies to “jump” from a small platform and free-fall 500 ft on a controlled line from the top of the Skyplex to the ground. Imagine bungee jumping but with out the return to the top!!!
Josh Wallack Developer of Skyplex said;
The attractions for Skyplex are some of the most innovating in the world, The world’s tallest roller coaster, the world’s tallest drop ride and now we’re launching an experience that feels like you are flying
