5 Florida Roller Coasters To Add To Your Bucket List

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Florida has so many great rides, you’re almost spoilt for choice. Last week we spoke about which rides we recommend for those of us who don’t really care for the adrenaline rush a good coaster gives you.

Today we’re going to talk about the coasters you must ride if you’re going to consider yourself a real thrill seeker.

Universal Studios Orlando

Pretty easy one for me, Rip Ride Rockit is the thrill ride that literally stands head and shoulders above everything else that Universal Studios has to offer in terms of pure adrenaline.

Reaching speeds of up to 105 km/h and an impressive height of 51 m its twists and turns while you listen to your favourite tune make this ride a must. Do prepare yourself to be chucked around a lot though, its not the smoothest of coasters and thats why I love it!

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

A slightly trickier one this, as Island’s has two cracking coasters, actually technically its 3 if you count Dragons Challenge as 2 separate rides instead of one and perhaps in most parks Dragons Challenge would be the winner however when you have the Hulk Coaster up your theme park sleeve the choice becomes obvious.

The green behemoth is a striking sight against the Orlando skyline however its not only visually breathtaking but it also takes your breath away. The amazing start that sees you go from 0-40 mph in 2 seconds is obviously the taking point but this coaster has so much more to offer. This ride is a must!

SeaWorld Orlando

For sheer uniqueness SeaWorld’s Manta has to be one of the “must” rides in Florida. With its original seating position (imagine being Superman) this amazing ride reaches speeds of up to 90 km/h and a G-Force of 3.7!

You have to ride this coaster and I dare you not to love it!

Busch Gardens Tampa

Arguably the home of coasters in Florida, this awesome park has more coasters than any other park. Picking just one stand out coaster was tricky as they all pretty much deserve a place but for a must ride I’m going to have to give it to SheiKra.

Sheikra-initial-drop

Standing a whooping 200 feet tall SheiKra reaches speeds of up to 70 mph but the thing that keeps people coming back and talking about it year after year is the drop! Once the train reaches the top of the 200-foot lift, it turns right into a holding brake where it slowly moves over the first drop, stops for about four seconds, and then dives headlong into the 90-degree drop!

ITS AMAZING!!!!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Now I’m only going to include one Disney park or this post will actually turn into a book! For me I’m picking Rock N’ Roller Coaster, an amazing coaster which features some of my favourite features.

The first thing is that its indoors, the creators use this fa

rock-n-roller-coaster-starring-aerosmithct really well the use of fluorescent lighting gives it a real rock n’ roll feel. It also incorporates a fast start, accelerating from 0 to 57 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds, riders experience 4.5 G as they enter the first inversion, this is more than a astronaut does during a shuttle launch!!!!

Whats not to like?

So there we have, get your bucket list out and add these 5 coasters to it immediately you wont regret it. 🙂

Smiles included…

Jamie
