Hey Thrill Seekers,
I’m not sure if you’re aware or not but Harry Potter is a bit of a big deal and apart from J.K. herself and probably the cast, no one has benefitted more than Universal. The introduction of the Wizarding World at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure has helped propel them to be a major rival in Orlando to Disney.
Last year Universal hosted the first “Celebration of Harry Potter” and earlier this year they confirmed that they would indeed be hosting the popular event again. We’ve now received some further information about what we can expect.
Universal Orlando will welcome Michael Gambon and Robbie Coltrane to the celebration for the first time, and welcome back Evanna Lynch, James Phelps and Oliver Phelps.
Throughout the celebration, there will be opportunities to hear from and meet the film talent including:
- Autograph Sessions. On Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, a limited number of park guests will have the opportunity to meet and receive autographs from Harry Potter film talent. Details to come on how you can experience this.
- Behind the Scenes: Harry Potter Film Talent Interview where you can enjoy a fascinating and interactive question and answer session with the film talent about what it was like to work on the most successful film franchise in history.
Next up, we have something I know every parent will be ecstatic to see as a new addition to A Celebration of Harry Potter — Kids’ Discussions and Demonstrations.
During Kids’ Discussions and Demonstrations, younger guests can:
- Be a part of a Dueling Demonstration & Wand Combat Masterclass with Paul Harris, wand fight choreographer from the Harry Potter film series.
- Learn how to Dance Like a Beauxbatons & Battle Like a Durmstrang
- Test their film series knowledge during Harry Potter Film Trivia.
This year’s expo will include displays by Harry Potter: The Exhibition, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, MinaLima, Pottermore, Scholastic and Warner Bros.
Last years event was massively popular, so we can’t wait for this years.
