Hey Thrill Seekers,

Visiting Orlando over the Festive period? Here’s your complete guide to ensure you have the best end to 2016.

So if you’re one of the lucky ones who is getting to experience the magic of Orlando over Christmas and New Year, you may have some uncertainty on which tickets to buy. Have no fear, I am going to explain which tickets you will need to purchase so that they are valid for your visits!

Universal Tickets

Okay, so I’m going to get the trickiest one out of the way first.

The Universal 2 park bonus ticket which entitles you to 14 consecutive day’s unlimited access into Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will run in to the beginning of January. The reverse of this ticket states that the first use must occur by ‘12/31/2016’ and the ticket will expire on ‘01/13/2017’ – remember the dates are in American format! This means that as long as it is activated on or before the 31st December 2016 you can continue to enjoy the parks into the New Year.

The Universal 3 park Bonus ticket which entitles you to 14 consecutive day’s unlimited access into Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Wet ‘n Wild does not run in to the beginning of January. WHY?! I hear you cry… Well, this is because it includes Wet ‘n Wild which is sadly closing its gates for the final time on the 31st December. The reverse of the tickets state that the first use must occur by 12/18/2016 and the ticket expires in full on the 12/31/2016. This means that this ticket will need to be activated by the 18th December 2016 as it will not be valid to use after the 31st December 2016.

The Frequent Fear Plus Pass expires in full on the 31st October 2016.

The Universal 2 park Bonus with Halloween Horror Nights will expire in full on the 31st December 2016. This ticket does not run in to the beginning of 2017. The Halloween Horror Nights part of this ticket will expire on the 31st October but you can still enjoy the satisfaction of visiting Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure after this date all the way up until your 14 consecutive days run out.

The Orlando Flex Ticket which entitles you to 14 consecutive day’s unlimited access into Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Wet ‘n Wild, SeaWorld and Aquatica does not run in to the beginning of January – this is for the same reason as the 3 park bonus ticket. As it includes Wet ‘n Wild the ticket must be activated by the 18th December 2016 and will expire on the 31st December 2016.

The Orlando Flex Ticket Plus which entitles you 14 consecutive days unlimited access into Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Wet ‘n Wild, SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens also does not run in to the beginning of January due to it also including Wet ‘n Wild. This ticket must be activated by the 18th December 2016 and will expire in full on the 31st December 2016.

Disney Tickets

If you are lucky enough to be visiting the Disney parks over the most magical time of the year (I am soooo jealous!!) then the following information may come in pretty handy.

The following 2016 Disney tickets must be activated on or before the 31st December 2016 to be able to run into the beginning of January 2017 for you.

The Disney 7 Day Ultimate ticket

The Disney 14 Day Ultimate ticket

The Disney 21 Day Ultimate ticket

This means that if you are coming to Orlando just before Christmas and staying all the way through to see the New Year in, you get to experience the wonders of the Christmas Parades and the Firework Displays that the parks world famously put on year after year and I mean, come on, who in their right mind wouldn’t want to bring the new year in poised next to Cinderella’s castle, watching an incredible firework show with your favourite Disney characters.

SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens

If you’re looking to spend the festive period visiting Shamu and her Christmas Miracles or heading to Busch Gardens to experience their Christmas town festivities then a 2 or 3 park SeaWorld ticket will be just perfect.

All of the SeaWorld park tickets we have to offer will run over into the beginning of January for you. The tickets are as follows:

2 Park SeaWorld and Aquatica

2 Park SeaWorld and Busch Gardens

3 Park SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens

Remember that all 2 or 3 of the parks are on the one single ticket so you only need to visit one park before the 31st December to activate your ticket.

Ticket Bundles

So if you’re looking to purchase one of our great bundle tickets or even if you already have one, then you may want to know if your tickets will be valid for the beginning of 2017.

The bundles that will run into the beginning of January are as follows:

Disney, Universal switch

Orlando Passport

5 Park Orlando switch

Disney, SeaWorld switch

Orlando Park Hopper

These bundles are made up of separate tickets – there can be up to 3 tickets in a bundle. Each ticket in the bundle will need to be activated on or before the 31st December for it to be able to run into the beginning of January. Let’s say you have the Orlando Passport, this bundle includes 1 ticket for the Disney parks, 1 ticket for the Universal parks and 1 ticket for the SeaWorld parks.. All 3 tickets must be activated by the 31st December. To activate a ticket you simply need to enter one of the parks that it is valid for.

Ticket bundles that will not run in to the beginning of January are:

Universal, SeaWorld switch

Orlando Passport Plus

Orlando Halloween Passport

Disney, Universal Halloween switch

5 Park Halloween switch

All of the above bundles include tickets that will expire on the 31st December 2016.

So there it is, I hope this has cleared a few things up for anyone who was confused about which tickets to purchase when travelling over the New Year.
