It seems quite a long time ago that Disney splashed the cash to buy 
Marvel and with it, all its intellectual property (superheroes). The huge wealth of stories and household names helped justify its massive outlay.
So it seemed strange that Disney hadn’t yet introduced a character into one of its theme parks, obviously Universal Orlando has the rights in Florida and uses the characters at its very popular Islands of Adventure Theme Park but the area itself can’t be amended without Disney approval which they obviously won’t give to a rival…or perhaps they would with a slight amendment to the existing agreement…
Anyway not to rest on the popularity of Superheroes at the moment, Disney yesterday confirmed that they will be taking advantage of one of their popular characters and launching an Iron Man attraction at their Hong Kong park.
In a blog today, Tom Saggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts confirmed a few details.
Audiences around the world have been captivated by the amazing inventions and innovations of Tony Stark and we’re basing this experience within a piece of the Stark Expo. Located in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland, the Expo will allow guests to see firsthand the progression of Tony’s Iron Man suits and many other Stark innovations.
Sounds like another 3D effort to me.

Upon entering the ride vehicle our guests will be able to take flight with Iron Man on an epic adventure that not surprisingly pits Iron Man, and our guests, against the forces of evil. This adventure will take place in the streets and skies of Hong Kong, which will make an even more unique and special experience for our Hong Kong Disneyland guests. In addition, guests will be able to meet and take photos with Iron Man.
I’m guessing and its just that, a guess. That it could be similar to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, with elements 0f 3D mixed in with moving parts. Disney have slated a late 2016 opening by this time could we also see Iron Man preparing for Orlando?
