Which 5 Coasters Would We Love To See In Orlando?

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Although Florida is indisputably the Roller Coaster capital of the World that doesn’t mean there aren’t some awesome ones outside of the Sunshine State and that leads to one very important questions.

Which 5 Coasters would we love to see in Orlando?

Ride to Happiness – Plopsaland De Panne (Adinkerke-De Panne, Belgium)

First off its a proper spinning roller coaster, it holds the record for the most inversions on a spinning coaster it hits speeds of 55.9mph and has 2 launches.
It’s USP is it’s World Record on a spinning coaster five inversions (6 inversions if the double inverting dive loop is counted twice). I can’t think of a coaster that comes close to this in Orlando for Thrills.

Where: United Parks have a history with spinning attractions, Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens Tampa and Empire of the Penguins at SeaWorld Orlando spring to mind… perhaps this would be a welcomed addition.

Voltron Nevera (Europa‑Park – Rust, Germany)

Get this coaster to Orlando asap!!! Themed around Nikola Tesla’s experiments with electricity, mainly around his Wardenclyffe Towers where he looked into transporting people charged up with energy from one point to another and back. This coaster boasts Heights of up to 106.6 ft, a total length of 4,544.0 ft, Speeds of up to 62 mph, 7 Inversions and a Max vertical angle of 95° plus 4 launches with 1 of them being backwards.

Where: Any park!!! I want this coaster so much… Disney, Universal, SeaWorld etc get together and make this happen,

TMNT Shellraiser (East Rutherford, New Jersey)

First off… A Teenage Mutant Ninja themed ride… yes please. Secondly an indoor coaster .. yes please!! BUT the pièce de résistance is the World record vertical drop of 121.5 degrees!!!

Where – Well its got to be at Universal park for me… has Epic got room for a Turtles portal?

Thunder Dolphin (Tokyo Dome City Attractions, Japan)

I’m not a massive fan of the name… Thunder Dolphin sounds like a mammal with IBS but this coaster is constantly ranked in the top 10 in the world for a reason. It’s tall, 260 ft tall to be precise, it includes an impressive drop of 217ft, while reaching speeds of up to 81mph HOWEVER the most notable thing about it is the fact it passes through both a hole in the LaQua building, and through the Big-O the world’s first centreless Ferris wheel!!

Where: Disney are crying out for an extreme coater… could this be the one?

Eejanaika (Fuji-Q Highland, Japan)

The only 4th Dimension coaster in the list, Eejanaika design is very unique to Orlando, the seats can rotate forward or backward 360 degrees in a controlled spin while braving speeds of up to 78.3 mph and heights of 249.33 ft! You’ve got to watch this one to see its true brillance.

Where: This has Universal written all over it for me… Harry Potter and the totally awesome roller coaster.

Couple of honourable mentions below for very different reasons. Mumbo Jumbo feels like it could break at any point and Steel Dragon is a coaster legend.

Mumbo Jumbo (Flamingo Land Resort, UK)

Steel Dragon 2000 (Nagashima Spa Land, Japan)

What do you think? Have we missed out any obvious coaster you’d like to see in Orlando, let us know.

Smiles included…

Jamie
