Hey Thrill Seekers,
It’s been awhile but thanks to the powers that be the Orlando Attraction Tickets blog is back.
Slight understatement but quite a lot has happened since our last post however nothing quite beats the announcement/building and launch of the first brand new park since Islands of Adventure in 1999. The brand spanking new Orlando toy is Universal’s Epic Universe (could they add just one more Universe in the name?) and as one of the UK’s leading theme park ticket resellers we had the privilege of visiting just before it’s official opening.
So as official experts, we thought we’d drop some of our tips, tricks and things to look out for at Epic Universe…
Best attraction
As you all know here at OAT we are known as the industries most thrill seeking, adrenaline chasing, fear fighting, lover of coasters in the ticket game. So it would be madness for us not to pick Stardust Racers as our favourite attraction at Epic Universe. This duel launch coaster reaches speeds of up to 62mph and heights of 133ft. What makes it unique is the idea that you are side by side next to another coaster racing through the sky. Words don’t do it just check out this POV.

Tip – Ride it at night for a totally different experience
Best meet and greet
Dark Universe is one of the most talked about portals in Epic Universe. The home of Universal’s legendary monsters needed to be handled with care and without just basically becoming a HHN land. Check out this meet and greet with the Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster.
The level of detail and how immersive the interactions are make it a must visit.
Food/Drink
There are lots of amazing food options at Epic including the Burning Cheddar Bites at The Burning Blade Tavern, the Butterbeer Crepe at Café L’air De La Sirène (messy but delicious), the Red Shell Calzone at Yoshi’s Snack Island, orthe seared scallops at the fine-dining restaurant, Atlantic. However my pic is a drink that can be found in the How to Train your Dragon: Isle of Berk area called the Snow Wraith, this Pina Colada non alcoholic icee is the perfect way to quench that Florida Thirst.
Cutest thing
Oh we’re totally staying in the Isle of Berk for this and a video of our own Abby meeting her hero Toothless. How cute is this…
Best Show
We’re massive fans of that glass wearing nerd and the new Ministry of Magic area elevates the brand even more. The best show in our opinion can be found here and starts with the queue. Le Cirque Arcanus tells the story of what happens if you steal Newt Scamander’s suitcase… I don’t wanna give too much away but there are a few surprises that will blow your socks off. (you probably wont be wearing socks)
Best themed
The theming throughout Epic is… Epic and everyone will have their favourites but for me Nintendo World is the pinnacle, just check out the entry via the portal.
Universals Epic Universe has so many hidden gems I haven’t even spoken about the interactive elements in the Wizarding World or the Power Bands in Nintendo World and I haven’t even mentioned the wind mill that catches fire….
Take it from me, Epic is a massive success and you need to see it with your own eyes.
