Hey Thrill Seekers,
Since September last year the lean, green adrenaline machine AKA The Incredible Hulk Coaster has been in the midst of a refurb. The popular Roller Coaster known for its 0-40 launch was arguably to due for a bit of TLC and Universal have been doing just that.
Although Universal have been characteristically vague about exactly what the revamp will entail we have been told it will include an enhancement to the storyline. They’ve also said that the experience will feel more immersive and high-tech. The ride cars are also set to be replaced but at the moment we’re unsure if its just a straight swap.
We also believe that the queue experience will be part of the immersive experience…
Universal are yet to confirm an opening date for the Hulk Coaster and have stated Summer as its intended target. Yesterday the final piece of the Hulk track was refitted and again dominates Islands of Adventures skyline!
Although this isn’t an indication of a public opening it does tend to suggest that Universal are bang on target for a May or June release. With Reign of Kong also due to open this Summer I would speculate that they would want to stagger the unveiling of both attractions for maximum exposure…
So Hulk fans… not long to go 🙂
