LEGOLAND Florida to open all new Ninjago World

Hey Thrill Seekers,

LEGOLAND Florida are opening an immersive 4-D Ninjago World January 12, 2017 which will allow children to let themselves go, in their own little adventure. Ninjago World will spread across 3 acres of the park. As they’ve called it a ‘world’ you can probably tell that it’s not just going to be a ride; there’s going to be several outdoor activities as well.

maxresdefault

The activities are to enhance your ‘ninja skills’ before you get to LEGO Ninjago The Ride to make sure you’re ready to take it on!

Zane’s Temple Build is a giant LEGO building experience which allows children to contribute to a mountaintop of Ninjago monastery.

Kai’s Spinners lets you master the the ancient art of Spinjitzu on the spinning platforms so be prepared to get spinning!

Cole’s Rock Climb is an outdoor climbing wall that will test children’s balance, endurance and patience skills.

Jay’s Lightning Drill measures your reflexes with super-fast light up targets.

LEGO Ninjago the Ride will use high-tech sensors so that riders can use hand movements in a striking movements to act as ninjas and score points. Slightly different to your average interactive ride where you would have a lever or gun etc. It makes you feel more in the game!

NINJAGO1

Ninjago World will also have regular meet and greet opportunities throughout the day with Kai and Nya the siblings.

Sounds pretty awesome to me!

Hey Thrill Seekers,

LEGOLAND® Florida, near Orlando, is taking advantage of the Park’s year-round sunshine by running its popular Imagination Zone entirely on renewable energy.

We are thrilled about this initiative which we are running in partnership with Tampa Electric and have further exciting plans on renewable energy in the pipeline.

Interview With Nigel McShine-Jones – LEGOLAND Florida

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Today’s post continues our series of interviews asking members of legolandflorida the theme park industry to review 2013 and look forward to 2014. In previous posts we’ve heard from Kelly Morris and Gavin Boswell both of Orlando Attraction Tickets.

As I promised in the last post, today’s interview is with someone outside of OAT, Nigel has been with LEGOLAND Florida from the very start and if you’re looking for a man more enthusiastic about LEGO in the UK you’ll be hard pressed to find one. A very knowledgeable and hardworking man getting a tiny bit of time with him was a bit of a coup.

Name: Nigel McShine-Jones (nickname is Choonz because I’m a wanna be DJ!)

Who do you work for?: LEGOLAND Florida

What was 2013 like?: 2013 was a great year for us. We saw a tremendous amount of international visitors in the park, including loads of Brits.

Your highlight of 2013?: The announcement the new LEGOLAND Hotel coming in 2015.

Your Best Park 2013?: LEGOLAND Florida of course!

Your Best Attraction 2013?: The new World of Chima attraction based on the LEGO product. A lot of fun and you get extremely wet!!

In regards to Theme Parks, what are you most looking forward to in 2014?: The opening of the new Orlando Eye in late 2014. (Nigel informed us that the Orlando Eye is Florida’s equivalent of the London Eye… imagine the views!!!)

Make a 2014 prediction…: If the rate of exchange with the pound versus dollar stays the same, I think we can expect a ‘bumper crop’ of British visitors to Orlando in 2014.

A cracking interview and a nice little bit of confirmation that we could see the Orlando Eye in late 2014 🙂

Thanks very much to Nigel for his time and we hope a lot of you will be visiting LEGOLAND Florida in 2014.
