This will defo make some of you feel old but this year the original Harry Potter film turns 25! Universal recently released a string of dates for 2026 to celebrate this including “Back to Hogwarts”. For some first timers you may not be totally clued up as to what this event entails but don’t fear, as always attraction ticket info is here to help.
What is Back to Hogwarts?
Universal Orlando Resort’s Back to Hogwarts celebration is a seasonal event in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It marks the fictional time of year when students chuck themselves through the wall at platform 9 3/4 and return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the upcoming magical school year.
When does this event take place?
Universal recently revealed that it will take place from August 1 to September 1, 2026.
Where will Back to Hogwarts take place?
Back to Hogwarts will take place at both Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) and Diagon Alley (at Universal Studios Florida).
What can we expect from Back to Hogwarts?
While Universal has confirmed the dates and general focus on Hogwarts’ back-to-school theme, specific details about entertainment, activities, or shows for the 2026 event haven’t been fully announced yet. Typically, the celebration revolves around:
