Hey Thrill Seekers,
Big changes are coming to Walt Disney World, and one of Hollywood Studios’ most iconic thrill rides is getting a brand-new headliner. Disney has officially revealed that Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will take centre stage in the reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, bringing a fresh Muppets twist to the high-speed attraction.
Set to open in summer 2026, the updated ride will replace the long-running Aerosmith storyline with an all-new, music-driven adventure featuring the chaotic energy and humour fans expect from The Muppets.
🚨 Updated; Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will open on the 26th May 2026
📖 A Brand-New Storyline with Classic Muppet Chaos
In the reimagined experience, guests will join the Electric Mayhem as they prepare for a huge concert in Hollywood. Of course, things don’t go quite to plan.
Riders will find themselves caught up in the band’s last-minute dash to make it to the show, blasting through Los Angeles in true Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster style. Expect a mix of high-speed thrills, backstage antics, and plenty of signature Muppet mayhem along the way.
The attraction will still deliver the same intense launch and inversions, but with a completely refreshed narrative, queue, and pre-show experience.
🎸New Music (and a Few Surprises)
Music has always been at the heart of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and that’s not changing it’s just getting a Muppet makeover.
Disney has already confirmed a selection of tracks performed by the Electric Mayhem, including:
- Song 2 – The Electric Mayhem
- Born To Be Wild – The Electric Mayhem ft. Camilla the Chicken
- Love Rollercoaster – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
- Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
- Walking on Sunshine – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson
There are also hints that classic Muppet tracks could appear in pre- and post-show scenes, adding a nostalgic touch for longtime fans.
🍋 A Fresh Look for a Classic Attraction
While the ride system remains the same, the visuals are getting a bold refresh. The famous guitar outside the attraction will stay, but it’s being redesigned with colourful, psychedelic Muppet-inspired details.
Inside, guests can expect updated sets, new Audio-Animatronics, and appearances from familiar characters like Kermit, Animal and more.
More being special cameo’s throughout the experience, starting in the queue and continuing all the way through the merch shop.
- Awkwafina
- Danny Trejo
- Darren Criss
- John Stamos
- Neil Patrick Harris
- Travis Barker
- Yvette Nicole Brown
- Wayne Brady
- “Weird Al” Yankovic
The result? A ride that blends the intensity of the original coaster with the playful unpredictability of The Muppets.
✅Why This Change Matters

It’s also the first time The Muppets will headline a major Disney thrill ride, signalling a renewed focus on the franchise within the parks.
