Hey Thrill Seekers,
Disney’s Hollywood Studios are launching an all new Jedi Training Academy Show with a subtitle of ‘Trails of the Temple’ in January 2016 located next to Star Tours.
The show is a 30 minute session that invites children up to the stage to participate in a battle against the Star Wars baddies. The Jedi Master will announce that he is looking for boys and girls who are strong enough to fight the Empire and use the force.
The old set of the show was a model of an Endor Bunker similar to the Ewok village set in the movies however this has now been updated and now resembles a sandstone structure of the Jedi temple.
The training show itself is still very similar to the original show however when the Jedi Master invites the children onto the set, they are provided with Jedi robes and light up blades to use as lightsabers whereas before they would have been given plastic swords that flick out. The light up blades give off a better effect towards the end of the day when the sun begins to set too.
The children that have been chosen as the trainees will then battle against Darth Vader. Each trainee will have their turn to battle before the they all join together to use their force powers to banish the baddies.
Disney have confirmed they will be replacing a lot of the original characters with those from the popular Disney XD series, ‘Star Wars Rebels’ they are not letting on to who they will be though!
A Seventh Sister makes her appearance fighting alongside Darth Vader rather than Darth Maul and speaks throughout the battle, showing her unique movements.
The Jedi Training Academy is not part of the Disney FastPass so be sure to get there early as they only have 14 participants at a time!
Smiles Included…
