First Pictures of Disney Downtown Development

The Disney blog has just released some stunning new pictures of Disney’s new “Hyperion Wharf” which will be the new name for Pleasure Island.

The 120 acre complex will have new restaurants, shopping and entertainment experiences added to give the area a more modern feel.

The district will come to life with a nostalgic yet modern take on an early 20th century port city and amusement pier. By day, stylish boutiques and innovative restaurants will draw you in and by night, thousands of lights will transform the area into an electric wonderland.

Building work has already started and is due for completion in 2013.

I think you’ll agree these images are pretty impressive and attraction tickets .info can’t wait for 2013.

Disney also mention further alterations to their Downtown area including:

Remodelling The Lego Imagination Centre  from January to April 2011. When completed, the store will stand at nearly 3,500 square feet.

The AMC Theatres are adding new digital technology, a Concession Stand of the Future and Florida’s first Fork & Screen Theater.

Disney Theme Park To Open In Shanghai

Disney have signed a deal with the Shanghai government to build a Disney Theme Park , according to reports on Friday the park could be open as early as 2014.

The move is seen as a real boost for Shanghai’s tourism.

Disney stuck the deal on Friday with Shanghai Shen Di Group Co. Ltd. who will act as its joint venture partner. Attraction-Tickets.info has heard that Disney would hold 43% of the equity shares in the joint venture and the rest of the 57% will belong to the new holding company, Shanghai Shen Di.

Disney World in China has for years been a topic of great interest but the idea was sidelined due to the Olympics in 2008. The project was approved by the Chinese government in November 2009 and the new joint venture deal takes the project one step closer to becoming a reality.

Disney said in a statement on Friday that they are still waiting for approval of the Chinese government about the incorporation of the related joint venture companies and also the necessary regulatory processes. The theme will cover a total area of 4 square kilometres and will come up near the new international airport in Pudong. Though Disney has ventured on similar territories before with its theme parks in Tokyo and Hong Kong, none of them have lived up to the expectations of the company.

Shanghai’s Disneyland is expected to cover about four square kilometers and cost about $3.75 billion

Critter Castaways at Busch Gardens, Tampa

Critter castaways is at the Garden Theater, located in Bird Garden at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Florida.

When our expert animal trainers turned their attention toward some rescued and shelter animals in need of a home, a show was born, along with quite a few four-legged and feathered stars.

Using the same sort of encouragement-based training philosophy our animal trainers use throughout our parks, a cast of unlikely characters comes together to create a side-splitting show with surprise twists that will have the whole family laughing from beginning to end.

Dogs and cats, ducks and doves, potbellied pigs and a few surprise animal stars entertain guests with a spectacular tribute to the human and animal connection and just how much fun it can be.

Show Schedule times – 11:00, 3:00, 4:30

Review – It must have taken the trainers an awful long time to get the animals to do all of this especially at the correct timing, it was great, definately one which is good for all the family.
