Yesterday at Disney’s usual earnings call Bob Iger Chairman and CEO dropped some major news! Not only did he confirm that Pandora – The World of Avatar would be opening in May of this year but also sent the nerds in to a frenzy by adding a sprinkle of Star Wars info.
Bob confirmed that lands at both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios would open in 2019!!! Considering Disney only broke ground in April 2016 a 2019 opening date seems really optimistic.
Disney’s Star Wars lands represent the companies largest-ever, single-themed land expansions. At each location, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet – a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space – where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.
For me I’m excited about taking the controls of the Millennium Falcon as one of their signature attractions suggests.
