SeaWorld Orlando Unveils Their Unique Ride Car For Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin

The cream of the theme park industry are currently gathered at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ (IAAPA) Expo 2012 checking out the latest plans for 2013 and beyond.

SeaWorld Parks took this opportunity to unveil and add to the hype for their new attraction set for launch in Spring 2013; Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, located in the new Antarctica land, the ride features the first of its kind “pick your intensity” option combining a mobile, moving simulator with a completely trackless ride that allows the user to become part of the story.

The ride itself is said to be aimed at families however no height restrictions have been announced yet. SeaWorld also wouldn’t be drawn in to the amount of money the new attraction had cost however Terry Prather, SeaWorld Orlando park president told themeparkinsider

that it was the largest single attraction investment in the company’s history.
