For the first time in 10 years Orlando was snubbed in the prestigious
THEA (Themed Entertainment Association) Awards. The Thea awards are given to projects whose achievement has been determined to be of “outstanding” quality. The award is for people or parks in the themed entertainment industry, selected by people from the industry.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the annual Themed Amusement Awards were given out during a short ceremony that took place inside the Orange County Convention Centre during the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions conference.
So a bad year for Orlando in the awards but lets see what 2013 brings…
