Hey Thrill Seekers,

We’ve been talking in the office today about our favourite roller coasters and our favourite features of a coaster. This got us on to creating our own coasters, you know, being the imaginative bunch that we are! I wanted to add in quite a few features from the other coasters around Orlando, although putting them all into one proved to be a lot more difficult than expected once I got thinking about it. I wanted speed, I wanted a sudden drop, I wanted an accelerated launch and I wanted it to be a smooth flowing coaster.  So jump on board and I’ll take you round my perfect Roller Coaster…

So here we are, waiting for the ride to set off, all tense in our seats, kicking our feet like little children. Why? Because we all do it and you know its true! 😉 my Coaster sets of slowly, creeping round the corner and suddenly it comes to a stop…has it brok-…WOAH before you can even finish your sentence you’re shot up the 150 foot ramp at almost 70 mph just like the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure!

Now, you’re going to want a coaster that runs smoothly. No one likes a rough, jiggity roller coaster do they (I’m looking at you Gwarzi)?! Manta at SeaWorld is known for being one of the smoothest roller coasters in Orlando, so if my coaster could run as smooth as that, it would be ideal! Manta goes up to 56 mph which is still pretty quick but I’d prefer it to be a bit faster than that although this must have something to do with how smooth it runs!

THE most important part of a roller coaster to me, is that it must be fast! If it’s not fast you’re not going to get that adrenaline rush! Isn’t the adrenaline the main reason most people go to a theme park?! Looking at Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens makes me think ‘that’s how fast I want my roller coaster to be’! Cheetah Hunt goes up to as fast as 60 mph so I think that’s a fast enough speed for my roller coaster! It is also known for having one of the longest coaster tracks at 4429 feet! This means that’s about 3 and a half minutes of ride time! When you consider most coasters on average only last about 2 minutes its a good reason to join that queue! Definitely be having a long track for my coaster.

Now, you’ve already been launched up the ramp and everyone knows that everything that goes up, must come down! I’ve decided, that roughly half way round you’ll come to a break neck stop… why is this? Well to borrow from the best when you ride my Coaster you’ll be hung over the edge of an enormous drop for 1 – 6 seconds just like SheiKra at Busch Gardens. The exact time you’ll be held for will be different every time you ride, just like Falcon’s Fury. Looking directly down from over 200 feet, you’ll really notice that’s its a long way down, you’ll drop at a 90 degree angle reaching speeds of up to 70 mph..wow! But there you are, falling and falling, then suddenly you’ve been whooshed over a ramp and spun round the corkscrew turns like Kumba at Busch Gardens! Kumba spins you round the corkscrew turns at a whopping 60 mph and it has one of the largest vertical loops in the world at an enormous 135 feet! Once you’ve been rushed, dropped and span you’ll be happy to get off!! 🙂

So, there we have it, my perfect roller coaster! I’m going to name this one ‘Loopy Lou’! What would be your perfect coaster?

Smiles included…

Louise
