Disney World Christmas 2026: New Songs Coming to Disney Attractions

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Christmas at Walt Disney World is about to get even more musical!

For the 2026 holiday season, Disney is adding festive songs and special Christmas soundtracks to several attractions across the resort, giving some of your favourite rides a completely different feel.

The biggest changes are coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, where three attractions will receive dedicated holiday playlists.

And if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, there are festive ride overlays there too, including the return of the ever-popular Jingle Cruise.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Disney World Christmas ride music for 2026.

🎸 Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets – Hollywood Studios

The biggest musical change for Christmas 2026 is coming to the newly reimagined Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

From 4 November 2026 until 6 January 2027, the attraction will become:

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay

Yes, that’s actually the official name!

The Electric Mayhem are getting into the Christmas spirit with a brand-new holiday setlist, with four festive songs being added to the attraction.

The four tracks are:

  • Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
  • Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
  • Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
  • Little Saint Nick – The Electric Mayhem

That means guests won’t simply be listening to the regular Electric Mayhem soundtrack during the high-speed ride.

Instead, you’ll be blasting through the darkness to a festive soundtrack with some very famous voices joining the Muppets.

Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper are particularly fun additions, making this one of the most unusual Christmas attraction overlays Disney has introduced.

And importantly, you don’t need a ticket to Disney Jollywood Nights to experience it. The holiday version will be available during regular park admission from 4 November.

🛸 Alien Swirling Saucers – Hollywood Studios

The Christmas music doesn’t stop with the Muppets.

Over in Toy Story Land, Alien Swirling Saucers is also getting a festive makeover to its soundtrack.

From 4 November 2026 through 6 January 2027, DJ Lilypad will be spinning a special holiday playlist.

The four tracks are:

  • Deck the Halls
  • Toyland
  • Swirling, Swirling, Saucers
  • Joy to the Swirl

The last two are particularly interesting because they aren’t simply traditional Christmas songs. They have been created specifically for the attraction, giving the little green aliens their own festive musical identity.

This should be a great one for younger Disney fans, particularly as the attraction combines the new soundtrack with the existing Lilypad’s Jams experience.

So if your children are Toy Story fans, it’s worth adding Alien Swirling Saucers to your Christmas must-do list.

🚀 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – EPCOT

Perhaps the most exciting change for Disney thrill-seekers is coming to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

From 25 November 2026 through 6 January 2027, the attraction will receive its own Holiday Remix.

Instead of the usual six-song rotation, guests will hear one of three Christmas tracks as they race through the galaxy.

The three songs are:

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – Andy Williams

A genuine Christmas classic although hearing it while being launched backwards into space should be quite an experience!

“Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” – Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This is probably the track that feels most naturally suited to Cosmic Rewind.

The dramatic rock version of the traditional Christmas melodies should work brilliantly with the attraction’s high-speed launches, twists and turns.

“Christmas Wrapping” – The Waitresses

A slightly more alternative Christmas choice and a great match for the retro soundtrack style that Cosmic Rewind is known for.

The three tracks will be shuffled, so you won’t necessarily know which Christmas song you’re going to get before boarding.

And that’s part of the fun – you could ride Cosmic Rewind several times and get a different festive soundtrack each time.

🎅 Magic Kingdom Christmas Ride Overlays

While Disney has specifically announced the three new holiday soundtracks above, Magic Kingdom will also be getting several festive attraction changes during the Christmas season.

The most famous is, of course:

🚢 Jingle Cruise

The Jungle Cruise becomes the Jingle Cruise during the holiday season.

The attraction gets a Christmas makeover, with festive decorations and a collection of Christmas-themed jokes from the skippers.

Unlike some of the attractions at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jingle Cruise isn’t restricted to the party itself.

It’s one of the easiest ways to add some Christmas magic to a normal Magic Kingdom day.

🚀 Space Mountain – Holiday Version

During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Space Mountain gets a particularly dramatic Christmas makeover.

The lights and atmosphere inside the attraction are transformed, while holiday music replaces the normal soundtrack.

Disney describes the experience as Space Mountain with high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.

It’s one of those attractions that feels completely different from the normal version – especially when you’re racing through a pitch-black Space Mountain to Christmas music.

🏎️ Tomorrowland Speedway

Tomorrowland Speedway also gets a festive makeover during the Christmas party.

The Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays adds thousands of lights, themed decorations and a futuristic holiday soundtrack to the attraction.

It’s not necessarily the first attraction that comes to mind when you think of Christmas at Disney World, but the combination of the lights and music makes it a surprisingly fun festive experience.

🍵 Mad Tea Party

The Mad Tea Party also gets a holiday twist, with Christmas music and lighting added to the spinning teacups.

There are several different combinations of music and lighting, making this another attraction that feels noticeably different during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

🦁 What about Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

Animal Kingdom doesn’t currently have one of the major new Christmas ride soundtracks announced for 2026.

Instead, the park concentrates more on creating a festive atmosphere throughout the park.

The Merry Menagerie returns to Discovery Island, featuring beautifully crafted winter animal puppets including polar bears, reindeer, foxes and penguins.

Festive music from live musicians accompanies the experience, creating a very different Christmas atmosphere from the other Disney parks.

The Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition also returns, with the Tree of Life illuminated each evening to a festive musical score.

So while you won’t find a Christmas version of Expedition Everest, there’s still plenty of festive atmosphere to enjoy.

🎶 Which Disney World Christmas ride should you try first?

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World during the 2026 Christmas season, we’d definitely recommend experiencing some of these attractions in their festive versions.

Our picks would be:

🥇 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The combination of a backwards launch, high-speed coaster and Christmas music sounds like a winning combination.

🥈 Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
The new Electric Mayhem holiday setlist, Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper make this one particularly intriguing.

🥉 Alien Swirling Saucers
A brilliant festive option for younger children, with four holiday tracks and DJ Lilypad keeping the party going.

🎅 Jingle Cruise
A Disney Christmas classic that is perfect for the whole family.

🚀 Space Mountain Holiday
If you’re attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, don’t miss the chance to experience Space Mountain with a festive soundtrack and lighting.

🎄 Christmas at Disney World is getting even more musical

Disney has always been known for its incredible Christmas entertainment, but these new attraction overlays give visitors another reason to experience the parks during the holiday season.

And the really interesting thing about 2026 is that Disney isn’t simply adding Christmas decorations.

It’s changing the soundtrack of the attractions themselves.

From Electric Mayhem singing Little Saint Nick at Hollywood Studios to Andy Williams accompanying a backwards launch through the galaxy at EPCOT, some of Disney World’s most popular attractions are getting a very different festive feel.

If you’re visiting between November and early January, make sure you check which attractions have their Christmas versions running – because your favourite ride could sound very different when you next board.
