Hey Thrill Seekers,

Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho… it’s off to Magic Kingdom we go. The votes have been counted and verified and the winner is…

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

Magic kingdom is said to have hosted around 20.49 million guests last year alone making it the most visited theme park in the world for the tenth year running!! This means that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train must be one hell of a ride ey?!

You’ll hop on board a rustic mine train and work your way up to the summit of the mountain. You can’t stay up there forever though.. you will race down the mountain twisting and turning until you reach the mine shaft where you’ll encounter the Seven Dwarfs who are hard at work doing their usual whistling and singing whilst collecting jewels.

Second Place: Splash Mountain – This is a fantastic water ride and yes.. you will get wet!! The build up to the massive 5 story splashdown is also great as there are so many things to see and take in during your journey.

Third Place: Space Mountain – This attraction allows you to commence on a voyage through the cosmos and to the furthest imaginable points of the galaxy. You’ll ascend 180 foot!! This is a really futuristic and cool ride!

Fourth Place – Wishes Nighttime Spectacular – This is an absolutely incredible display.  The voices of your favourite Disney characters will echo throughout the park as they tell a story. Magical and famous Disney songs are sure to give you goosebumps as you watch one of the most magical firework displays on the planet.

POV Video Of Disney’s New Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland

banner

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Its been a week of first person videos, firstly Busch Gardens releasedseven this awesome video of their soon to be open attraction Falcons Fury and now today Disney have released a first look at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster at Magic Kingdom.

The ride is aimed at families so don’t expect huge loop the loops and massive drops, it the attention to detail and building a thrill ride for all ages which I think they may have got right.

Disney confirmed this video as a full ride through, however at one part, around the 59 seconds a fade appears which seemed out of character with the rest of the video. It leads us to believe that perhaps their is a final part within the mine that is yet to be released…a surprise maybe?

Disney still haven’t officially announced an opening date but we feel it can’t be far away.

What You’ll See From The Top Of Disney’s Seven Dwarfs Mine Train At Magic Kingdom

Hey Thrill Seekers,

I’m really enjoying what Disney’s social team are doing with the launch of their new coaster, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Along with the recent behind the scenes videos and their live chat with Dave Minichiello, creative director at Magic Kingdom they’ve just posted a couple of pic’s of the view you can expect while riding it.

According to Disney the first photo taken from the top of the new mountain shows the Beast’s Castle and the Belle’s Village section of New Fantasyland.

As Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager at Disney points out you can see a bit of the construction that’s still going on in this photo.

Looks like a great place to view some of the amazing sites Disney has to offer and I’m looking forward to seeing these views myself.

Disney Reveal More About Their Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster

Hey Thrill Seekers,

This year we’ve had tons of fun posting about all the amazing new attractions opening in Orlando this year, today it’s the turn of Disney’s offering, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train scheduled to open in Spring 2014.

disney4

Yesterday Dave Minichiello, creative director at Magic Kingdom where the new coaster will be found took part in a live chat via the disney website. Within the chat Dave revealed some of the exciting features of this family roller coaster including this great video which compares onboard footage of the attraction side-by-side with an original CGI onboard that was created early on in the attraction’s development.

The live chat lasted just over an hour, so instead of listing the whole chat I thought I’d briefly outline the highlights.

  • “The queue has a surprise song in it that was originally written for the film called ‘Music In Your Soup’” – Imagineer Dave Minichiello
  • There will be an interactive area of the Seven Dwarfs queue where guests can sort and wash jewels & enter the vault from Snow White.
  • Height requirements 38 inches
  • Will be available to pre-book via My Magic Plus
  • Well, each mine train is very unique and we wanted to make them look like they were used in different times. When you see the vehicles themselves, there’s a lot of layering to them. While you go to the mine and there’s a lot of rustic wood and wood graining throughout the attraction, some of the wood carving is something you seen in the film and we’ve picked that up. The scale and the character of everything around you starts to go into the dwarfs’ world.

disney3A couple of things I took from this was firstly, everything has a Spring launch date and secondly, there’s a height limit on a ride with the word Dwarf in it! 😉

Disney Reveals Behind The Scene Details Of The Seven Dwarf Mine Train Cars at Magic Kingdom Park

Hey Thrill Seekers,

One of 2014’s big releases is Disney’s new coaster The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride at Magic Kingdom. Today Disney have released a behind the scene video detailing the creative process behind designing and producing themed cars for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

As shown in the video, in addition to being a part of the attraction’s innovative new ride system that causes cars to swing back and forth while they travel down the track, the train cars are painted and aged in a way that contributes to the storyline of the attraction.

I for one can’t wait to get ride Disney’s latest attraction rumour has it the ride will be available for the Summer.
