Busch Gardens Tampa To Announce New Ride?

Morning Thrill Seekers,

With all the hoohah surrounding SeaWorlds launch of Antarctica Busch Gardens TampaEmpire of the Penguin it would be easy to forget that there’s another SeaWorld owned park who may have a thing or two up their own sleeve!

Yesterday we received a media invite to a special event taking place on the 11th June 2013 at Busch Gardens Tampa.

The invite reads

Be among the first to hear the biggest news that’s been dropped in years.

Dropped” being the key word, Busch Gardens recently filed for a Trade Mark for the name “Desert Dive” and rumours have been doing the rounds that Busch is set to announce a very tall drop ride possibly positioned in the Timbuktu area of the park.

Now Busch Gardens in Williamsburg (sister park) already has its own drop ride called Mach Tower” and both parks have been known to work together with twin projects. Could Busch Gardens Tampa’s Drop Ride be similar to this?

Well just incase here is the low down on the Mach Tower; it stands an impressive 246 ft tall easily eclipsing all other structures in the park, it drops at speeds of up to 50 mph and has capacity to house 500 people per hour.

Obviously this is just me speculating and Busch Gardens could be pulling the wool over all our eyes… what do you think?

regards,

Jamie
