Hey Thrill Seekers,
Confirmation is coming through today that Universal will be opening a new interactive Hello Kitty store at its retail park CityWalk this year. The store will be the first in North America and will offer specialty merchandise to Hello Kitty fans.
The brand new interactive retail experience will offer stationery, home goods, apparel, accessories and collectibles—and even specialty items that will be exclusive to Universal. You’ll even be able to custom design your own merchandise, including creating a souvenir version of Hello Kitty’s iconic bow. And the best part: you’ll get to meet Hello Kitty herself!
Universal also confirm that other Sanrio owned IP’s like Chococat, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Purin and Keroppi will also be featured at the store.
Although this isn’t really my thing, I do understand there’s a market for Hello Kitty so its great to see Universal expanding their reach.
Universal continuing to have one heck of a year with confirmations including King Kong, a Nintendo deal and the building of a totally new park – Volcano Bay. They really do seem to be the company to watch!
Smiles included…
Jamie
