Hey Thrill Seekers,
Today’s interview is with one of the originals. Nichola Parr, she along with our LEGOLAND friend Nigel (interview coming soon) are the only two to have participated in every interview request we’ve sent. So for me she’s a superstar.
A tiny bit of background on Miss Parr, she’s looked after our account ever since we started and is a good friend of Orlando Attraction Tickets. Last year she lead the familiarisation trip that saw our own Kelly visit Florida and get to live out her childhood dream to swim with dolphins. She was also the unfortuanbte one who had to calm Kelly down when she bottled Falcon’s Fury! Poor Nichola… Anyway enjoy.
Name: Nichola Parr
Who do you work for?: SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment
What’s been the highlight of the year (2014) for your company?: Definitely the opening of Falcons Fury at Busch Gardens in September and Ihu’s Breakaway Falls at Aquatica in May. Discovery Cove was also named as the world’s number one amusement park for the second year in a row in the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice awards.
What’s been the highlight of the year (2014) for you?: Being able to experience both of our new attractions in November on our SeaWorld Parks fam. We took 18 agents out to experience our parks and we were lucky enough to be able to try them both out. They’re both AMAZING!
What can we expect from your company in 2015?: We’ve had a very successful couple of years with our In Park Experiences. Things like our Behind the Scenes Tour at SeaWorld and the Serengeti Safari at Busch Gardens to name a few. Because of this we’re looking to add more experiences to our existing products so that guests can see and do more at all of our parks and they will be able to pre book all of these through Orlando Attraction Tickets.
Make a 2015 prediction…: We believe we will see the in-park experiences grow in popularity as the Orlando bound customers look to make even more of their time in the parks. With us looking to increase our offering we believe we will have something for everyone.
Best Theme Park ride/attraction of 2014?: Falcons Fury – one of those rides you could do over and over.
Best Theme Park/attraction food of 2014?: Discovery Cove…..who doesn’t like All Inclusive??
Best Theme Park/attraction tip?: If you get the chance to ride Falcons Fury at Busch Gardens, when you reach the top let your whole body go loose. When you start to make the 60mph drop, you’ll have a whole zero gravity experience. You can also do the same on SheiKra when you reach the top of the first and 200ft drop
Best kept secret in Florida?: Shopping! I can’t stress enough how great Orlando is for this. I believe people still choose NYC for shopping when really, the deals in Orlando are far better. Especially at the Outlets. Also Christmas in the parks. The parks are all decked out with Christmas decorations, holiday music and shows and they just do it so well. If guests are out there around the holidays, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Trust Nic to pick shopping as her best kept secret! I’d like to thank Nichola for taking the time to answer our questions yet again. I’m sure you’ll all agree she offers some great insights in to SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment and Orlando as a whole.
