Skyscraper Roller Coaster To Be World’s Tallest

Hey Thrill Seekers,

Back in November 2013 we posted about the introduction of a new thrill ride on the horizon, at that time it was nicknamed the Polercoaster, a play on words of “pole” and “roller coaster” and was scheduled to open in 2016.

Well since then its had a name change, to Skyscraper and the opening date has been adjusted to 2017 (Developers expect to break ground in 2015 and open for business in 2017.), however the one thing that hasn’t changed is the sheer size of this monster! At over 500 feet its going to make even the mighty Falcons Fury look tiny!

skyscraperYou’ll find Skyscraper on the intersection of International Drive and Sand Lake Road. Skyscraper won’t just be a stand alone thrill ride but also designed to include upscale arcading, simulators, rock climbing, bars, restaurants, retail and an observation deck which will offer panoramic views of Orlando from 535 feet up!

The ride itself will last an amazing 4 minutes and is probably a lot more thrill than you expected. Check out this awesome video.

The ride itself will travel at speeds of up to 45mph and will include sudden drops, corkscrews and of course the sheer feeling of being 500 feet in the air!

Bill Kitchen, founder of US Thrill Rides. said;

The unique design of the coaster means more incredible, heart-pounding inside and outside loops, dives, spirals and inversions in a vertical area than riders have ever before experienced.

I can’t really argue with him!

Smiles included…

Jamie
